In 1977, I painted my first mural. Since
then I have painted numerous murals in public places both in the U.S.
and elsewhere.
I strongly believe that visual art can have a profound effect on the way a population feels about itself, which ultimately can transform the collective culture of that group.
My mural work helped me to understand the
importance of creating a bridge of shared feelings between audience and
painter.
